I had a bit of trouble writing about Crys and Gabe, which I think I've mentioned in my previous post and it wasn't until I fleshed out Gabe that it started to come together. Of course, it always helps when you have a great group of friends pointing out the stuff that doesn't make sense, or has no continuity or needs another read because it just doesn't 'sound' right.
The cover for Bewitchments is done and was just posted on the "Books" tab. Love the cover and I'm really excited by the thought of writing about Trevor and Zoe.
I'm still loving this writing gig more than ever but there's still so much to learn. I make a point to spend time each week to study something new and then try to find time to squeeze that 'something new' into my schedule. I've joined Goodreads but I am pushing buttons trying to figure out how to use it and make it something that other people want to read. (**Really and truly my life is pretty boring on the outside. Okay, its a freaking party in my head, but that's a post for another time).
Here's something you might find interesting...I can't read contemporary fiction when I'm writing. I'm an avid reader, a voracious reader, so it wasn't until I discovered sci-fi and paranormal romances that I felt comfortable enough to read them while I'm working on my own stuff. And before I found them, I was Jonesing, big time. Think book junkie, i.e., "C'mon, baby, just one chapter. Please, just a chapter. I'm hurting so bad, baby. Please?" and you get the idea.
I want to give a big shout out to Celtic Fairies, Shari in Texas and Louise in Ireland! You all make my day with your witticisms, stories and encouragement! And, of course, thanks to my Beta Readers: Cathy, Cassie, Rita, Reese, Laurie, Margarita, Jenny and Judy! You guys ROCK!
Until next time! ~J. A.
