The first draft of Bewitchments is done.
Holy crap. What an endeavor!
Connecting Pole Dance, HH1, Tap Dance and HH2 to this new book was hard. Bringing in new characters that were only touched on in the party scene (epilogue) of Pole Dance and Crys's set at Enrique's was more than my new writing skills could handle.
That is, until the story started to coagulate. Until my Muse begin speaking..."add this" and "oh no, he wouldn't say that!"
I've been working on this puppy since March, six whole months, and the story has changed four times. Four! But, this time, I think it works.
There's a lot of interaction between Zoe and the girls: Leila, Cait, and Crys with bits of Marianne as well as with their men. Trevor goes to Smithville with Benny, Jake and Dex which adds another layer to the story. I just love it when you get the fella's view on things.
Gotta offer thanks to my girls, Michelle Howard and Lori for giving me props, encouragement and suggestions along this journey. Couldn't have done it without them.
I've planned on doing "A Grantham Christmas" book, due out at the beginning of December to see how each of the couples do with the holidays and their new togetherness during the joyful season. It will, of course, have Frank-kay working his magic to make that time of the year even more special.
Plus, there are two new books underneath my fingers even as we speak--although they aren't specifically tied to Grantham, one definitely has connections (Niko)--but I'm not gonna say anything else (Niko) on the subject (Niko).
Hope you've done the back to school thing, as applicable, and aren't breathing too much of a sigh of relief now that you've got a bit of room to breathe. Or suffering from the guilt thereof. Yeah, girlie. Been there, done that. Believe me, it and everything that goes along with it, is over way before you know it.
Remember, I'm only at the other end of your keyboard if you want to talk...
Until next time...
